A: 20-30 hours, broken up into 3 or 4 visits.

A: Yes, 5%.
Q: What kind of maintenance is needed after the garden is installed?
A: Consistent watering for the first couple weeks is important.
Q: How long do I have to wait after planting until I can pick my fruit / veggies?
A: 30 days to 90 days, depending on which vegetables are planted.
Q: Do you start from seeds or seedlings/starter plants?
A: Most are from starter plants, though quick growing vegetables are planted from seed.
Q: Do you have organic produce options?
A: All installed gardens are free of chemicals.
Q: My yard only gets afternoon/evening sun. Is that enough?
A: 6-8 hours are minimum for most crops
Q: Do I need a fence?
A: 5' fences are used to protect your garden from deer, and smaller (2') fences are used for rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks.
Q: I am going on vacation for a week. Will my garden be okay?
A: Yes. Most gardens only need watered once per week, but if watering before leaving and upon returning, things will be just fine.
Q: Can I use my own seeds that I purchased?
A: Absolutely
Q: What are the size options for the raised beds?
A: It's totally up to you, though 2' and 4' widths are the most common
Q: Do you plant everything at once or can/should the planting be staggered so it is not harvested all at once?
A: Common summer vegetables produce most of the season (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and some (lettuce, beans) do best planted a couple different times.
Q: How often should I water my garden?
A: 2-3x per week the first few weeks, then 1-2x per week after that.
Q: Do I have to fertilize the garden at all after it is planted?
A: We will make recommendations per your soil type. Fertilization is not necessary, but may give your plants a boost.
Q: If I help build it does it lower the cost?
A: Yes
